This paper is set and answered in Sindhi. The headings below are given in the Commission's own Sindhi with an English gloss alongside.
Candidates opt for either the General Paper in Sindhi or the General Paper in Urdu, not both. Question papers in Sindhi are to be answered in Sindhi.
This paper examines the candidate's grasp of the fundamentals of the language: correct usage, singular and plural, antonyms, etymology, orthography and the rules of spelling, together with explanatory questions on grammar. A working knowledge of the craft as a whole is necessary. Candidates will also be asked to translate some sentences from Sindhi into English or from English into Sindhi.
