MDCAT is not decided by what you know on the day so much as by how much of it you can retrieve in the sixty seconds a question gets. Three hours, 180 questions, one mark each and nothing deducted for a wrong one — the arithmetic of that paper rewards pace and punishes hesitation, and neither is something a textbook can teach you. Sitting a real past paper under a real clock is the only way to find out which of the two is costing you marks.
Every answer on these papers is the one printed in the official UHS answer key issued with the paper itself, not a key worked out afterwards. Where the source document's own printing is imperfect — two identical options, a symbol its font could not render — the paper is reproduced as UHS set it and the flaw is recorded in the file rather than quietly corrected, so what you revise from is the paper that was actually sat.
Two papers under one name
MDCAT changed shape in 2020. Every paper here is marked the way UHS marks it, which for the national test means no negative marking — nothing is deducted for a wrong answer, so on this paper there is never a reason to leave one blank.
